GENERAL INFORMATION

We use the Q-Plus C MT laser from the Italian manufacturer Renaissance.
The Q-switch laser generation is designed for faster and more efficient tattoo removal with minimal damage to the tissue.

Renaissance is a group of companies, including Deka M.E.L.A., Quanta System, and Asclepion Laser Technologies. It was formed with the idea of uniting truly unique solutions for dermatology, surgery, and aesthetic medicine under one brand. Built on the thirty years of experience of these companies, Renaissance represents the pinnacle of medical technologies, positioning itself among the leading companies globally in the field of laser medicine, body shaping, and surgery. Their unique Q-Plus C MT laser device, thanks to its exclusive technology, provides exceptional flexibility in use by combining Picosecond technology and top-notch Q-Switch sources.

The laser works by breaking down tattoo pigment into such small particles that the body can absorb them through the lymphatic system and eliminate them through bodily fluids. With each treatment, a new (deeper) layer of color is extracted, and it is not uncommon for the tattoo to appear darker after the first treatment than it was before the removal process started. This potential effect typically occurs only after the first treatment, and from the next treatment onward, the tattoo becomes visibly lighter.

The laser wavelengths of 1064 nm and 532 nm are responsible for removing black, dark blue, red, orange, purple, and brown inks. Unlike our previous laser, our new device has a unique Ruby laser with a wavelength of 694 nm, designed to remove blue, azure blue, black, brown, green, and ultimately – purple ink. These laser systems can fragment the targeted pigment into small particles that the skin will remove through the phagocytosis process.

The Q-Plus C MT is the only Q-Switched laser with the ability to mix two different wavelengths in one emission. Mixed Technology allows for the simultaneous emission of pulses at 694 nm and 532 or 1064 nm, meaning we can use two different wavelengths simultaneously to remove a tattoo that contains multiple colors. With the laser we used before, it was necessary to change attachments during the tattoo removal process because each attachment was used to treat a specific color. With the Q-Plus C MT device, we can simultaneously use, for example, 1064 nm and 532 nm in one emission and treat a tattoo that consists of, for example, black and red colors.

Our Q-Plus C MT is currently the first and only tattoo removal laser with the Mixed Technology system on the Croatian market.

Before the first treatment, it is necessary to schedule a consultation to assess the tattoo (size, colors, age, whether it has already faded, etc.), provide basic information about what to expect after each treatment, estimate the number of treatments needed, and determine the cost.

Before and after laser treatment, prolonged sun exposure should be avoided. If the skin is too tanned from sunbathing, the laser will be less effective (best results are obtained when there is a pronounced contrast between the skin color and tattoo color). If your skin is sunburned, we won’t be able to proceed with the treatment, as the laser could cause additional burns in that case.

After the treatment, avoid sun exposure and/or tanning beds for at least 3 weeks to allow the skin to recover. Otherwise, the risk of burns is possible.

The skin’s recovery after each tattoo removal treatment varies depending on skin type, adherence to aftercare instructions, your immune system, the tattoo itself, etc. Some clients may develop scabs, while others may not notice any changes. It is crucial to strictly follow our aftercare instructions to prevent complications.

Tattoos older than 10 years usually require fewer treatments for removal than newer ones. This is because tattoos naturally fade over the years, depending on the design, whether it was done professionally or amateurishly, the colors used, and how well it was maintained. Some tattoo ink colors used over 10 years ago may contain harmful substances and are no longer in use today. For the removal of larger tattoos, we recommend a longer process where only part of the tattoo surface is treated in each session.

From the time of tattooing to the first possible laser treatment, a minimum of 6 months must pass. The gap between individual laser treatments should be a minimum of 2 months. If you wish to fade an old tattoo to make way for a new tattoo design, it should be at least 3 to 6 months from the last laser treatment to tattooing. For the removal of small linear tattoos, the entire process takes less time, and intervals between individual treatments may be shorter because the skin doesn’t need as much time to recover as it does after treating large dark tattoos.

The cost of tattoo removal per treatment is 80.00 eur for the first square inch (2.5×2.5cm) + 20.00 eur for each additional square inch. Complete removal may require a minimum of 3 treatments or more, depending on the darkness of the tattoo.
The prices include a 25% VAT. The price list is valid from 23.12.2023.
