Therefore, it’s impossible to impose legal market regulations. Anyone can register a legal tattoo studio, regardless of their knowledge or skill in the field. Equipment of questionable quality is even available on eBay.
An experienced and skilled tattoo artist will charge a price they believe is in line with the quality of their work. Likewise, a tattoo artist who may not be the best but wants to attract clients and make a profit, may charge a lower price. It’s a matter of market freedom. The choice is yours.

some tattoo artists work in a ‘private arrangement’ (read ‘off the books’ in their own homes or similar setups), which allows them to offer a lower service price because they have no additional costs apart from equipment. They are also not subject to inspections (health, labor, financial, etc.) and do not pay taxes or other contributions to the state. Those of us (idiots) who properly comply with regulations must charge a higher service price to cover these costs.
